Kuya Silver Corporation (CSE: KUYA) (OTCQB: KUYAF) (FSE: 6MR1) has announced the initiation of the first phase of drilling at its Silver Kings Project in Ontario, Canada. The company plans to conduct drilling totaling 10,000 meters in multiple phases to test for high-grade silver-cobalt mineralization at depth in the historic Cobalt Ontario silver mining camp. A diamond drill is now on site to commence the drilling program, which will include testing at the new Frontier NW target, the Campbell-Crawford target, and the Airgiod target.
David Lewis, Vice President Exploration at Kuya Silver, expressed excitement about the drilling program, stating, “It’s great to have a drill back on site again at the Silver Kings Project, especially given the accomplishments that Kuya Silver made here in 2023. We’ve updated and refined our technical skillset and I’m looking forward to testing and expanding our discoveries in this world-class historic mining district.”
The brownfields Frontier NW target area is situated 350 meters northwest of the Frontier Mine and has shown promise with anomalous to mid-grade silver-cobalt mineralization in previous drilling and trenching programs. The area is highlighted by the Hammerstrom fault, which has shown comparable characteristics to the Woods-Watson fault. Further exploration and drilling in 2024 will focus on delineating mineralized veins within the fault zone.
The Campbell-Crawford and Airgiod targets, historically separate mining claims, are now part of continuous properties where mineralization is targeted at the lower diabase contact. Prior drilling by Kuya Silver has revealed bonanza-grade silver in multiple mineralized veins, with further exploration planned to delineate high-grade mineralized shoots at these targets.
