Vancouver, British Columbia–(October 15, 2024) – Nine Mile Metals Ltd. (CSE: NINE) (OTCQB: VMSXF) (FSE: KQ9) is pleased to provide an update on its California Lake advanced geophysical program, conducted by EarthEx Geophysical Solutions Inc. (EEX).
In 2022, EEX reprocessed the legacy MegaTEM and Aerodat airborne data, identifying a total of 11 Priority VMS Trends in the Company’s Western Portfolio. The current focus is on Target Areas #10 South and #11 South on the California Lake VMS Project. The structural trend highlighted by strong conductivity and coincident magnetics in the target area southeast of drill hole CL-23-10-01 shows promising signs for further exploration.
EEX conducted ground-based Time Domain Electromagnetics (TDEM) over the fold nose for target definition and drill hole planning. This was completed in two stages, with 11.2-line kilometers of TDEM surveyed initially and extended to capture the entire target response. A total of 18.2-line kilometers were surveyed by EEX.
The TDEM survey identified (4) strong priority Targets (A – D) and (4) medium priority targets within the grid, coinciding with their original Late Time Conductive Trends. Maxwell plate modeling of the strongest conductors provided dimensions for guiding drill hole targeting.
Priority Targets A, B, C, and D were identified with strong conductive responses, suggesting potential mineralization in the area. The recent technical data and geology definition support the initiation of an exploration drilling program in this unexplored region.
The Bore Hole Electromagnetic (BHEM) survey conducted on CL-23-10-01 identified a weak conductive body at a depth of approximately 230 meters. This discovery is significant and confirms the presence of potentially mineralized zones in the area.
Nine Mile Metals Ltd. is a Canadian public mineral exploration Company focused on VMS exploration in the renowned Bathurst Mining Camp in New Brunswick, Canada. The Company’s primary objective is to explore its VMS Projects and position itself for critical minerals exploration.
Gary Lohman, Director, P.Geo., and VP Exploration, stated, “The completion of the UAV magnetics in conjunction with the TDEM survey and Maxwell Plate modeling at California Lake marks a significant milestone for the Company. We are excited about the potential of this target area and look forward to further exploration and drilling activities.”
The Company is committed to following Canadian regulatory requirements set out in National Instrument 43-101 and ensuring transparency in its reporting of technical information.
