This initiative aims to accelerate technology innovation within the energy sector. Chevron Technology Ventures’ Catalyst Program, launched in 2017, focuses on the growth of early-stage companies developing technologies beneficial to the energy sector. PrePad’s proprietary technology aims to optimize the cost estimation lifecycle for drilling and completing oil and gas wells. The software is designed to enhance capital efficiency, support adjacent workflows, and provide transparency and accuracy in decision-making processes.
PrePad’s software streamlines the drilling and completions process, enabling clients to optimize strategies more effectively compared to traditional spreadsheet-based methods. The company’s goal is to become the industry standard for comprehensive cost and time analysis in the energy sector.
Through participating in the Catalyst Program, PrePad intends to validate and commercialize its technology while conducting trials with new and existing clients in the energy industry. PrePad has also garnered recognition in the energy sector as a Disruptive Digital Innovator and a Top Innovator in Completions. The company was founded in 2021 by Sean Hervo and Brandon Eidson, both with previous experience at Shell.
