In Vancouver, BC on October 21, 2024, Nations Royalty Corp. (TSXV: NRC) (OTCQB: NRYCF) announced the appointment of Josh Kierce, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company, effective immediately.
Josh Kierce, a Chartered Professional Accountant with over seven years of experience in accounting and investment banking, joins Nations Royalty with a Bachelor of Technology in Accounting from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. His previous roles include serving as an Associate in Investment Banking at Stifel Nicolaus Canada, focusing on mineral exploration and mining sectors.
Replacing Tony Robinson, Josh Kierce brings a diverse background, particularly with indigenous businesses and recent experience in mining investment banking. Mr. Robinson will continue as an Advisor to the Company after resigning to pursue other opportunities within his Lower Mainland Urban Nisga’a Local.
Nations Royalty Corp.’s vision involves uniting First Nations and Indigenous groups in Canada, while welcoming external investors as shareholders. The Company aims to combine royalties, income, commodity streams, and annual benefit payment entitlements from resource projects. The Company has granted certain officers and consultants 400,000 stock options with a three-year vesting period and an exercise price of $0.90. These options are exercisable for a five-year period.
