Patriot Battery Metals (TSX-V: PMET) has announced the appointment of Ken Brinsden, former managing director and CEO of Pilbara Minerals (ASX: PLS), as its new non-executive chairperson and director. With over 30 years of experience in surface and underground mining, Mr. Brinsden has held key positions in major mining companies such as WMC Resources, Normandy, GoldFields, and Iluka Resources (ASX: ILU), among others.

Mr. Brinsden’s extensive experience in production, development, and executive roles makes him a valuable addition to Patriot Battery Metals. CEO Blair Way expressed excitement about Mr. Brinsden joining the company, citing his success in building Pilbara Minerals into a global industry leader in the lithium sector.

In response, Mr. Brinsden shared his enthusiasm for contributing to the success of Patriot Battery Metals, particularly its flagship project, the Corvette Property lithium project. He highlighted the project’s potential within the North American lithium raw materials supply chain.

Patriot Battery Metals is a mineral exploration company based in Vancouver, focusing on acquiring and developing properties rich in battery, base, and precious metals. The company owns the Corvette Property project in the James Bay Region of Québec, where they have discovered a significant lithium pegmatite cluster at the CV13 target, near the CV5-1 pegmatite corridor where drilling is ongoing.

Darren Smith, the company’s vice president of Exploration, commented on the encouraging results of the CV13 pegmatites, emphasizing their potential in relation to existing mineralization and geological structures in the area. Furthermore, Patriot Battery Metals holds ownership of other properties including the Freeman Creek gold property in Idaho, US, the Pontax lithium-gold property in Quebec, and the Hidden Lake lithium project in the Northwest Territories.
