Transition Metals Corp. has recently completed exploration work at its Pike Warden project near Whitehorse, Yukon. The focus of the exploration team was on areas of the property with potential for hosting porphyry Cu-Au mineralization, including Copper North, Copper Junction, and Olympus. Samples and data were collected to better understand the geology, structure, alteration, and mineralization in these areas.
The Z-Axis Tipper Electromagnetic system (ZTEM™) survey results showed a large conductivity anomaly central to the Copper Junction area, where prospective alteration and copper mineralization were also identified. The data highlights untested Cu-Au porphyry targets on the property.
The exploration team discovered four new polymetallic showings, with samples returning assay values of up to 1.04 g/t Au, 3.63% Cu, 1.37% Mo, 2.61% Zn, and 0.12% W. These findings confirm the presence of mineralization and add to the growing database of the company.
The Company plans to use the geological and geophysical data to refine areas for potential drilling for porphyry-style copper-gold mineralization on the Property. The recent field program included detailed geological mapping, focusing on fracture density, vein styles, alteration, and mineralization associations.
The Pike Warden property is situated on the northern rim of the Bennett Lake Caldera Complex, with historic and newly discovered high-grade polymetallic gold, copper, and silver showings. Transition Metals Corp. is actively exploring the property and developing new ideas for mineralization discovery.
