On August 29, 2024, Torex Gold Resources Inc. reported a tragic incident involving a contract worker at the Guajes Tunnel. The Company expressed deep sorrow over the death of a 40-year-old male contractor who sustained fatal injuries while working in the tunnel. The Company has halted construction activities at the Media Luna project site and informed the relevant authorities.
