The ongoing drill campaign at the Cassiar North project area has been expanded beyond the initial scope of 5,000 meters for Phase 1. A total of 6,520 meters of drilling has been completed to date, with 5,275 meters at the Taurus Deposit and 1,245 meters at the Newcoast target. Additionally, the induced polarization survey data collection phase was completed in August, with drone-supported magnetic and VLF surveys scheduled for the fall. Field mapping and sampling are also in progress at outlying target areas.
The Company’s 2024 drill program began on June 4th and is progressing ahead of schedule with an expanded scope. The program is expected to conclude by fall and will consist of approximately 30 drill holes at the Cassiar North project area, targeting both deposit-based and regional targets within the 59,000-hectare land package. The field program includes geological mapping, sampling, and geophysical surveys.
The Taurus Deposit hosts a significant inferred gold resource, and the 2024 drill holes are aimed at defining mineralization continuity and expanding the deposit footprint. Results from the drilling will be reviewed and interpreted once available.
At the Newcoast target, drilling in 2023 encountered significant mineralization, prompting follow-up drilling in 2024 to test for extensions. Geophysical surveys, including IP and VLF surveys, are being conducted to aid in identifying mineralization-controlling faults and structures.
Geological mapping and surface sampling are ongoing at known and new gold prospects, with results expected to contribute to target development in 2025. The Company has also granted stock options to its Vice President of Investor Relations, subject to vesting provisions.
