Carolina Rush Corporation (TSXV: RUSH) (OTCQB: PUCCF) has initiated drilling activities at the Brewer Gold-Copper Project in South Carolina after obtaining analytical results from the first seven holes of the Phase IV drilling program. The focus of the current drilling initiative is the newly discovered Tanyard Breccia Zone situated south of the historic Brewer Mine, as specified in the news release of February 28, 2024. The assay results have verified the presence of a mineralized breccia body containing gold-copper mineralization within a zone characterized by intense quartz-pyrophyllite alteration. Higher-grade gold values are observed within distinct zones of highly silicified, pyritic breccia. The company plans to drill four additional holes in the Tanyard area to explore concealed mineralization beneath the maar sedimentary sequence and extend the high-grade gold-telluride mineralization identified in hole 21 (2.5m @ 169 g/t Au).
The drilling program will also entail deepening a hole (B21C-016) drilled in 2021 in the northwest section of the property. This hole terminated in robust quartz-pyrophyllite alteration with gusano textures containing elevated molybdenum levels near the bottom. An additional 200 meters of drilling will be conducted to test for further indications of a primary porphyry copper system, extending the total depth of the hole to nearly 600m.
New results from drill holes B24C-031 & 32 confirm the presence of the Tanyard Breccia but reveal only low gold values from the periphery of the structure.
