Atomic Minerals (TSX:ATOM) has announced its initial prospecting program at the Archie Lake project in Northern Saskatchewan, which it owns entirely. An eight-man prospecting team will be conducting a grab and chip sampling program to investigate the property for uranium mineralization located in the basement.
After a thorough review of historic geophysical data, target areas TZ1 and TZ2 have been identified for exploration. The company’s shares have experienced a 33.33% increase to C$0.04 as of 10:20 am ET.
Archie Lake is situated along the southwest edge of the Athabasca Basin in Northern Saskatchewan, adjacent to NexGen Energy’s land package to the north, east, and west. Atomic Minerals holds uranium projects in three locations in North America, including properties in the Colorado Plateau, Athabasca Basin region, and Northern Saskatchewan.
CEO Clive Massey expressed confidence in the potential of the Archie Lake project, emphasizing the company’s systematic exploration approach and the use of advanced technology. A scintillometer survey with 25-meter spacing will cover the entire property, with a focus on the TZ1 and TZ2 target areas.
